 Press Release: Every Hisbah Officer Is a Peace and Security Ambassador in His Community. Kano State Governor Alh.Abba Kabir Yusuf has reaffirmed the determination of his administration to ensure security and peace  for the protection of lives and property across the state. The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Sani Auwal, made the commitment during a stakeholders meeting on the contribution of shari'a sector institutions toward promoting peace and security in Kano State. The meeting was organized by the Kano State Hisbah Board and held at the Coronation hall Government House, Kano. He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and urged the Hisbah Board to focus more on providing intelligence reports to conventional security agencies, rather than limiting efforts to moral enforcement alone. “He was only looking for daily bread” — Adeniyi Johnson begs Nigeria Police to release Trinity Guy


Renowned actor, Adeniyi Johnson appeals for mercy on behalf a popular skit maker called Trinity Guy, who is currently remanded in prison.


As previously reported, the content creator, based in Ibadan, was summoned by the police last week. He has been taken to court on the charges of allegedly portraying inappropriate content involving a minor in a viral skit video.


The Oyo State Magistrate Court ordered the skit maker to be held in Agodi prison for the alleged sexual exploitation of a 10-year-old child.


The parents of the minor were also detained on charges of conspiracy and sexual abuse.


In response to these developments, Adeniyi Johnson appealed to the Nigeria Police to show leniency in Trinity Guy’s case. He emphasized that the skit maker is simply seeking a means of livelihood.


In his words,


“Dear Nigeria police force and every other related agency. Many of us agree that our brother did what is wrong and absurd.


“All I’m pleading for is to TAMPER JUSTICE WITH MERCY. please @iamtrinityguy is a young man looking for what to eat legally but he incidentally fell on the wrong side of the law.


“Please be merciful as I know he has learnt already Nigerian Police Force Recruitment Forum.
