Hundreds feared killed in Sudan as RSF launches attack on famine-stricken camp A devastating assault by Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Zamzam Camp for displaced people near al-Fasher has left hundreds dead or wounded, the foreign ministry and aid groups said on Saturday, in what some described as one of the worst violations since the war began, Reuters reported. The first wave of multiple attacks began on Thursday, according to a release from advocacy group the General Coordination of Displaced Persons and Refugees, with the assaults continuing through Friday and Saturday, destroying homes, markets, and healthcare facilities. That left "hundreds dead and wounded, the majority of whom were also women and children", the organisation said. It condemned the attack as "a war crime and crime against humanity". 'I NEVER FAVOURED ANY PARTY IN MY 40 YEARS IN JUDICIARY ' - JUSTICE BULKACHUWA. (PHOTO).

ā€˜I never favoured any party in my 40years in judiciaryā€™ ā€“ Justice Bulkachuwa

A former president of the court of appeal, Zainab Bulkachuwa, said she never favoured any party in her 40 years in the judicial service.

The retired judge stressed that she never compromised her office on partisan grounds.

Bulkachuwa was reacting to recent comments by her husband, Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa.

Recall that Adamu Bulkachuwa, while speaking at the 9th senate valedictory session on June 10, had said he often encroached on his wifeā€™s space while she was in office.

The former senator said, ā€œAnd she has been very tolerant and accepted my encroachment and extended her help to my colleagues.ā€

She said, ā€œMy attention has been drawn to the trending video of what was said by my husband Senator Adamu M. Bulkachuwa.

ā€œI want to state categorically that I never at any time compromised my oath of office to favour any party who appeared before me throughout my judicial career spanning 40 years of service to my country.

ā€œMy decisions were always based on the facts, the law and in accordance with my conscience and oath of office.ā€

Zainab Bulkachuwa added that former ā€œjustices of the court can attest to the fact that I never interfered with the independence of any of the justices of the court in the discharge of their judicial functions.ā€
