  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. I reminisce about moments with Yvonne Nelson – Iyanya

Famous music star, Iyanya has opened up about missing some good moments he shared with his former girlfriend, Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson.

During a recent interview with reality star Tacha on Cool FM, Lagos, Iyanya made this revelation.

When Tacha inquired whether he missed his time with Yvonne Nelson, Iyanya responded by affirming, “Of course, I mean, once in a while you just reminisce and miss good people. It is what it is. We are cool.”

Understand that Yvonne Nelson recently released her latest project, a book titled “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” which elicited controversies online. 

This book, which chronicles both her professional and personal journey generated significant discussion online following her claim that Iyanya’s involvement with Tonto Dikeh was the catalyst for the crash of their relationship.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, Iyanya expressed his astonishment at the cheating allegation and assured his followers that he would provide a response at a later time.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
