The Government categorically refutes claims of lopsidedness and emphasizes its unwavering commitment to the principles of fairness, equity, and national unity. All appointments are made in strict adherence to federal character principle, as enshrined in Section 14 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as Altered). Japa: Atiku’s aide mocks Buhari’s reason for leaving Daura for London

Daniel Bwala, a media aide to Atiku Abubakar, has criticised ex-President Muhammadu Buhari over his relocation to London.

On Thursday, Buhari said he dumped his hometown of Daura in Katsina State for London due to the nature of visitors trooping to see him.

Buhari lamented that he was not accorded the kind of quiet time he wanted in Daura; hence, he left for London.

Speaking through his former spokesman, Garba Shehu, Buhari stressed the need to have the rest he deserves, adding that he needed to distance himself from the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

Reacting, Bwala tweeted: “JAPA, JAPATOLOGY SYNDROME. He said he JAPA to London from Daura because visitors won’t let him rest; as if visitors don’t visit him in London. You simply wasted 8 years given to you to change your country.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
