 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. Man City win Champions League, achieve Treble dream

It was dream come true for English giants Manchester City as they achieved their Treble quest by beating hard-fighting 1-0 Inter Milan by a lone goal in the final of the European Champions League played this Saturday night, June 10, 2023 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.

Rodri scored the all-important goal in the 68th minute of play whenhe rifled home beyond Goalie Onana from inside the Inter Milan penalty area.

By this Man City matched Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United 1999 record of winning the treble. They earlier won the English FA Cup and Premier League.

For City manager Pep Guardiola, it is his third Champions League crown of his coaching career, thus joining Bob Paisley and Zinedine Zidane on three Champions League victories.

Only Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid has won more, with four.
