 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. Police officer arrested for attempting to kill his colleague in Adamawa


The police in Kaduna state has arrested an officer, Inspector Moses Paul, for attempting to strangle his colleague, Inspector Simnawa Paul, while they were both on duty at the Police Mobile Force base of 62 Squadron Kafanchan on June 16.


The police in a statement released yesterday June 26, said Inspector Moses Paul tried to strangle, using a rope, the neck of his unsuspecting colleague. The statement said the ''victim was however rescued by two other Police Officers whose attention were drawn by his cries.''


The police added that preliminary inquiries reveals the primary motive was in attempt to cart away Inspector Simnawa Paul's rifle while the the remote cause of action will be ascertained at the end of the full scale investigation during which the culprit will be facing both disciplinary and legal proceedings.
