 FIRST IMPORTED EBOLA CASE: NIGERIA EVACUATES INDEX CASE TO SWITZERLAND AS CONTAINMENT MEASURES CONTINUE The Nigeria’s confirmed Ebola index case has been medically evacuated from Abuja to Switzerland, following approval by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate. The forty-two-year-old patient, whose case marked Nigeria’s first imported Ebola virus disease case, was transferred alongside her spouse, who has remained asymptomatic. In a statement posted on his X handle, Professor Pate said the patient was clinically much improved, stable, conscious and able to communicate, with laboratory test results approaching baseline levels. However, the Minister cautioned that the patient’s clinical improvement does not necessarily mean she is no longer infectious, stressing that strict public health protocols remain in place. TSC Announces June 6th For Mop Up Test

The Nasarawa State Teachers' Service Commission (TSC) has announced plans to hold a mop-up test on Tuesday June 6th, 2023 for applicants who missed the Computer-Based Test (CBT) held from 15th May 2023 to 1st June 2023.

This was contained in a statement issued by its Director of Admin and Supplies, Zaki David Makama. 

According to the statement, the mop-up test is to hold from 9am-4pm prompt at the Umaru Tanko Al-Makura CBT Centre, Lafia, the State capital. 

The affected applicants are advised to come along with their application print out and means of identification.
