 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Wadada Resigns From PAN Nigeria Ahead Of 10th NASS Inauguration

The Senator-Elect for Nasarawa West Senatorial District, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has resigned his appointment as the Chairman, Board of Directors of the Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN) Nigeria Limited. 

This is contained in a letter addressed to the Board of Directors of the company through the acting Managing Director of PAN and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja.

Wadada thanked the board, management and staff of the company for their support and cooperation during his tenure.

“Sequel to my emergence as senator-elect to represent the people of Nasarawa West Senatorial District, Nasarawa State at the just concluded 2023 General Elections.

“I write to inform you of my resignation as Chairman, Board of Directors, effective immediately.

“This decision is borne out of my desire to effectively concentrate on providing purposeful representation to my people upon the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly on June 13.

“I appreciate the opportunities for growth and development you have all provided to the company during my tenure and have enjoyed steering the affairs of this famous company.”
