 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST GUNMAN AT POPULAR HOTEL IN AWKA



Surveillance Operatives of Anambra State Police Command have arrested a lone gunman at a popular hotel (name withheld) in Awka.


Surveillance Operatives  who observed the man prowling around the premises on 20th July. 2023 accosted him  and conducted a search on his person. One English-made pistol and three rounds of live ammunition were recovered from him.


The suspect who gave his name as *Akuchieani Echezona,* a male resident  of Ifite Awka, was disarmed, arrested  and taken into custody.


The Commissioner of Police, *CP Aderemi Adeoye,* has ordered State CID Awka to take over the case and investigate source of the weapon as well as the gunman's intention for going armed to the hotel.


The suspect is to be arraigned in court at conclusion of investigation.
