 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. ANAMBRA POLICE INTERCEPTS ARMED HOODLUMS IN OBOSI, RECOVERS TWO PISTOLS



_As CP Adeoye charges Operatives to sustain the tempo of the fight against criminal elements._

Police Personnel in Obosi while on  patrol on 20/7/2023 at about 1130 Hours intercepted a 3-man criminal gang riding in a tricycle around Littlewood Estate. 

The gang which engaged Police Operatives in a firefight bowed to superior firepower of the Operatives who arrested  two of them with gunshot wounds. 

Two Berreta Pistols and two rounds of ammunition were recovered from the hoodlums.  The third suspect managed to escape.

The arrested suspects are Amaechi Precious ‘M’ aged 25 years from
Obosi and Almazer Avalumo ‘M’ aged 25 years from Adikpo in Benue State.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police CP Aderemi Adeoye has charged Police Officers  to sustain the fight against criminal elements wherever they may be lurking.
