 A Texas woman was ordered to stop walking away from the police. Instead, she strangled a kitten until its neck was broken. Authorities stepped in to end its suffering.  The sad events in this story took place in Beaumont, Texas, on September 10th. On that Thursday evening, officers with the Beaumont Police Department were called to a domestic situation that ended in a physical struggle to save a kitten's life.   Sadly, the officers attempts were unsuccessful.  The events began when 45-year-old Heather Broussard's boyfriend contacted authorities for a welfare check. He reported that Heather was possibly a danger to herself.  He told dispatchers that he was following behind her as she walked down Binger Road. Anambra Representative Presents South-East Development Commission (SEDC) Establishment Bill 2023 At National Assembly

The Member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency and former Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Paschal A. Agbodike today 18th July, 2023 presented a Bill seeking to establish South East Development Commission.

The Bill according to him will address the issue of marginalization, underdevelopment and insecurity in the entire South East geopolitical zone. He said that the Bill will augment the comprehensive development and targeted the specific needs of the people.

He opined that SEDC when successfully created will be entrusted with planning and execution of developmental projects that will positively affect critical sectors like infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, commerce, etc. 

To us at Anambra Current News , this is a landmark move that will help the economic growth of the entire South East. It will attract investments, and create enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
