Atletico Madrid defeat Man City in pre-season friendly

Atletico Madrid defeated Man City 2-1 in a pre-season friendly in Korea.

Memphis Depay and Yannick Carrasco scored the goals which secured a deserved win for Atletico over City.

The match was delayed by 40 minutes following a downpour in Seoul. City made most of the dominant plays in the first half. However, Alvaro Morata and Thomas Lemar made two great chances for Atletico.

Ruben Dias headed home a late Sergio Gomez corner but Pep Guardiola’s treble-winners were unable to find an equaliser.

Man City faces Arsenal for the Community Shield next weekend.
