 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, announcing the approval of payment of N5 billion in promotion arrears

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, made an unscheduled visit to the Professor Chike Edozien Secretariat in Asaba, announcing the approval of payment of about N5 billion in promotion arrears to Delta State workers. 

The payment will be made in three installments from August to October 2023. The Governor fulfilled his promise to the workers, which was made prior to the Governorship election. He urged the workers to remain dedicated to their duties and emphasized his commitment to the welfare of all Deltans. 

The State Head of Service expressed gratitude for the Governor's approval and visit.
