 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. FIVE IGBO STUDENTS WHO EXCELLED IN A CHINESE UNIVERSITY 


Introducing the remarkable achievement of five Igbo students who excelled in a Chinese university and were honored with awards from the institution.

Ifeoma, Chioma, Chinedu, Johnson, and Chimaka, the group of Igbo students, have brought tremendous pride to Nigeria as they successfully graduated in China.

These exceptional individuals, who attended Southwest University in China, were singled out for their outstanding performance and received prestigious awards. The names of the awardees are Ifeoma Amuche, Chukwuemeka Chioma, Chinedu Wilson, Akpata Johnson, and Oraka Chiamaka. In a TikTok video posted by Miss Chioma, one of the students, they joyfully celebrated their graduation.

This group of intelligent Nigerian students, who all studied at Southwest University in China, received well-deserved recognition. Miss Chioma, in her TikTok video, proudly shared their achievements, showcasing their faces and award certificates. It is worth noting that all of these students hail from southeast Nigeria.

The motive behind posting this video was to shed light on the remarkable accomplishments of these students, not only to the Nigerian community but also to a wider audience. In the video, they individually displayed their certificates with a sense of accomplishment, all dressed in their graduation gowns. They were honored with the International Student Excellence Award. Miss Chioma captioned the video with the message: "These are 5 Igbo students who received excellence awards at Southwest University in China."

The TikTok video quickly grabbed the attention of other Nigerians, who expressed their pride in the comment section. When interviewed, Miss Chioma informed Igbo HISTORY that all of them studied the Chinese language. She stated: "We all learned Chinese in Nigeria and worked as translators in various companies, including Dangote refinery, before pursuing our bachelor's degrees in China."

"We are international student achievers at Southwest University Chongqing China. In our department, there are 12 outstanding graduating students from different countries, and among these 12, 5 are Nigerians of Igbo descent."

"It is important to understand that being recognized with the excellence award in China is no easy feat. Students truly need to give their utmost dedication, and maintaining a high grade point average is crucial."

This incredible accomplishment of these Igbo students studying in China serves as an inspiration for others and showcases the immense talent and capabilities of İgbo students on a global platform.
