 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. GOVERNOR KEFAS SENDS NAMES OF COMMISSIONER NOMINEES TO TARABA ASSEMBLY

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has sent a list of commissioner nominees to the state’s House of Assembly for screening.

The list is coming barely a month after his inauguration as the number one citizen of the state.

The list which was on Monday made available to the House, included twenty-one nominees.

The governor, it would be recalled, had recently trimmed down the number of the Ministries from twenty-four to twenty-one.

On resuming office as Governor, Kefas had expressed his administration’s desire to ensure that 80 percent of his Commissioners and Special Advisers are made up of young persons.

The speaker of the House of Assembly, John Kizito Bonzina who admitted that the list of nominees has been submitted to the House by the governor, said screening will soon commence.

The list reportedly includes Professor Nicholas Oliver Namessan, George Peter, Gideon Samuel Nonso, Augustina Godwin, Naomi Tanko Agbu, Aishat Abulazzez, Sarah Enoch Adi, Joseph Titus Nagombe, Bodia Gbansheya, Zainab Usman Jalingo.

Others are, Yakubu Maikasuwa, Habu James Philip, Usman Muslim Abdullahi, Saviour Badrolling Noku, Philistar Ibrahim Musa, Yakubu S. Yakubu, Mary Sinjen, Daniel Ishaya, Noseh Luka and Joseph Joshua
