 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly. I became increasingly outraged by her failure to cook rice properly- Man, 54, speaks on why he beat his girlfriend to d£ath in Cross River

A 54-year-old m¥rder suspect, Nkeruewen Etuk,  has said that he b£at his girlfriend, Esther Ndereke, to d£ath a few days ago because she burnt the rice she was cooking and almost set their apartment on fire.

The suspect was arrested on Tuesday, July 18, after the deceased slumped while they were fighting in his apartment at Abasi Obori street in Calabar South Local government area.

Etuk while being paraded before newsmen said he never had the intention of k!lling Ms. Ndereke.

“I became increasingly outraged by her failure to cook rice properly, which became a major point of contention between us. She almost burnt down the house while cooking. She didn’t add enough water before turning on the gas and she almost burnt down the house.

When I asked her why she behaved that way, that was when we started arguing then I beat her up. I never intended to k!ll her. I have never had any serious  issue with her for the past two years that we have been dating. Unfortunately, our altercation escalated, resulting in her tragic demise after she slumped during the fight. It was never my plan to k!ll her. I was only angry because she was careless and almost burnt down someone’s house'' he said
