 “No electricity, no vote,” South Africans threaten to shun ruling party ANC Residents in Katlehong, a township outside Johannesburg, have resolved to boycott South Africa's upcoming local elections on November 4 due to long-standing failures by authorities to provide basic services like electricity. For over 20 years, around 180 households in the community have relied on illegal electrical connections pulled from neighboring areas to power their homes. Angry over the lack of formal grid infrastructure, residents are directing their frustration at the ruling African National Congress (ANC). "We have made a collective decision: no electricity, no vote," said community leader Lesiba Rankapole, 59. "We know it is illegal, but we had no choice because we cannot live without electricity. Kidnapped Ajinomoto Logistics Personnel Found Dëad On Farmland In Lafia 


Kidnapped logistics personnel with Ajinomoto, a popular food seasoning and favour enhancer in Nigeria, Mr Emmanuel Tegwi has been found dëad.


Mr Tegwi who resides at Ombi II area (Kwandare road) of Lafia the Nasarawa State capital was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Sunday July 23 around 10pm. 


Hours after the abduction by yet-to-identified gunmen, his lifeless body was found on a farmland. 


According to sources, he was shot dead by his assailants and corpse dumped at the farm near his residence. 


Until his demise, the deceased who hails from Irigwe (Miango), Bassa LGA of Plateau State worships at the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Goodnews, Lafia (GRA). 


The Spokesperson of the Nasarawa State Police Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel could not confirm the incident as efforts to reach him proved abortive.
