 I Don’t Wish It On You – Genevieve Nnaji Knocks Trolls Age-shaming Her Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to social media trolls who made age-shaming comments about her. According to Naija News, a user on X reacted to Genevieve's post on April 3, 2025, stating that she couldn't escape aging and was getting older. The comment read, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.” In her reply, Genevieve pointed out that things could be worse; she could age significantly and eventually die if she were fortunate. She wrote, “It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.” Another troll referred to her as “mummy,” suggesting she was old, but Genevieve quickly dismissed the comment, saying she wouldn’t wish old age on him. LAGOS FIXES SATURDAY JULY 15 FOR 2023 PLACEMENT TEST BY CAS


The Lagos State Ministry of Education has announced that the Year 2023 Placement Test by Continuous Assessment Scores (CAS) has been scheduled for Saturday, 15th July, 2023 at all Schools' Centres across the State.

A release signed by the Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu informed all concerned stakeholders in the Public and Approved Private Primary Schools in the State that the test would be conducted simultaneously in all the centres.

 

He, therefore, enjoined the stakeholders in the affected schools to take note of the date and ensure that their pupils fully participate in the test in compliance with the "No child should be left behind" Policy of the State Government.

Orunsolu equally solicited the cooperation of School Owners and Headteachers of the concerned schools for a hitch-free exercise.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
