 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY   With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi.   As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.   I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them.   Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour.   My prayers are with the family.   Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria January 8, 2026

“Most restless wives were once side chics in people’s relationships” – Aniebiet Francis


Nigerian actress, Aniebiet Francis opines that most restless wives, who are always suspicious of their husbands actions and inactions were once side chics in other people’s relationships.


She said this in a post on her official Facebook page as she addressed while some wives are always restless over their husbands’ movements.


Aniebiet Francis said that some of these restless wives’ past keeps haunting them because they assume that their husbands are using some complicated tricks to cheat since they have been doing that before.


According to her, these women live their lives in fear that their husbands are being unfaithful or that someone is doing to their husbands the same thing they did to other people’s partners.


She wrote…


“Some of the most restless wives are the ones that were once official side chics in people’s relationships.


Their expertise in cheating tricks makes every action and inaction of their husbands suspicious.

They literally live a life of fear. Fear that someone is doing to them what they did to others.


May we not become victims of our past atrocities.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
