 ‘Friend Of A Thief Is A Thief’, Defence Minister Warns Terrorist Sponsors The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has cautioned Nigerians against aiding terrorists, insurgents, bandits, or other criminal elements, stressing that anyone who supports criminal activities will face the full weight of the law. General Musa made the warning on Saturday while speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day 2026 Golf Tournament held at the TYB Golf Resort and Country Club, Yar’Adua Barracks, Abuja. Ebonyi State-born separatist and violent factional leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa, has taken swipe on the Supreme Leader of the IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, over the recent handwritten letter from the IPOB leader directing him to end sit-at-home in the South East zone with immediate effect.

Ekpa has also threatened to reject Kanu as the Supreme Leader of the IPOB for compromising their mission to destroy the Igbo people, saying that he would soon take the position of the Supreme Leader as Kanu is now having mental issues due to brainwash by the Islamic State.

Responding to the letter on his verified twitter handle on Friday evening, @simon_ekpa, the Finland-based Abakaliki autopilot said Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, popularly known as Onyendu, has been compromised by the government, and now out of his right state of mind.

In one of his many twits, Ekpa said the letter, conveyed to him through Nnamdi Kanu’s special counsel and lawyer, Barr. Aloy Ejimakor, was misleading and did not represent what the IPOB stood for.

In another twit, Ekpa accused Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of working with some security agencies and government to undermine his powers as the Prime Minister of the soon-to-be unveiled Biafra Republic in exile, adding that Mazi Kanu would soon be dethroned as the Supreme Leader of the IPOB just like the recent coup d’etat in the Niger Republic.

The violent separatist whose sponsorship of unknown gunmen and criminals has led to the death of over a thousand innocent Igbo souls who refused to obey his illegal sit-at-home orders further referred to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as an “animal” under the spell of the “Islamic zoo government,” threatening that his leadership would reject anything coming from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“Let me warned those parading as the Supreme Leader of IPOB that we are now poised to reject Nnamdi Kanu because he is now having a mental issue as a result of staying long in the Islamic DSS cell.

“Even if Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released today, we will no longer take orders from him. He is out of his mind and as the Prime Minister, I am now in charge. Nobody can bribe me if they have finally bribed that animal called Onyendu.

“I repeat, I am now in charge. Sit-at-home must continue. We will repeat what happened in Niger Republic soon as my government will be roasting Nnamdi Kanu because of his acts of betrayer. He is now another saboteur like Ralph Uwazuilike of the criminal MASSOB,” Ekpa twitted.

However, the twits had been deleted when Simon Ekpa came under fire by Onyendu Mazi Kanu’s loyalists calling him criminal, murderer, vagabond, while appealing to his sponsors to stop giving him money which he has been using to destroy Igboland.
