OVER 25 MILLION PHONES STOLEN IN ONE YEAR- FG. (PHOTO).

 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. Northern Governors' Forum Chairman, Inuwa Yahaya Condoles With Business Mogul, Dahiru Mangal Over Wife's Death 

Gombe State Governor and Chairman of Northern States Governors' Forum, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON has commiserated with renowned business man, Alhaji Dahiru Mangal over the demise of his wife, Hajiya Aishatu Mangal who died yesterday after a brief illness.  

The Governor, in a message of condolence, described the death of Hajiya Aishatu as deeply painful, and a great loss, not only to the Mangal family, but the northern region and the country as a whole.  

"We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of your beloved wife. Losing a spouse is never easy, but I know that you are a strong and resilient person who will get through this difficult time. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

" The late Hajiya Aishatu will always be remembered as a kind, loving, and generous wife and mother who touched the lives of many people. Her legacy will continue to inspire others for years to come". 

Governor Inuwa extended the condolences of the government and people of Gombe State to Katsina State government and all those she left behind over the huge loss, praying Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus.
