 EFCC Arraigns Austrian For Undeclared $800,585, €651,505 At Lagos Airport The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Directorate 2, Okotie Eboh, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, January 9, 2026, arraigned one  Kavlak Onal, an Austrian national arrested by the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, for allegedly failing to declare the sums of $800,575 and €651,505 in his possession. He was arraigned before Justice Yelim Bogoro of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi , Lagos.  Onal who was scheduled to travel on Emirates Airline to Dubai, was on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 intercepted  during a routine check at the AML/ CFT Currency Declaration Desk at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.

Seven Women Who Made Tinubu's Ministerial List And Their States Of Origin

Of the ministerial list President Bola Ahmed Tinubu forwarded to the Senate, only Seven women made it.

The list consists of 28 prominent Nigerians, including former governors and serving and former members of the Senate and House of Representatives.

This means twenty-five percent of the nominees are women, while 75 percent are men. The women are:

Betta Edu (Cross River)

Doris Aniche Uzoka (Imo)

Hannatu Musawa (Katsina)

Nkiru Onyeojiocha (Abia)

Stella Okotete (Delta)

Uju Kennedy Ohaneye (Anambra)

Iman Suleiman Ibrahim (Nasarawa)

However, 11 states were left out of the ministerial list sent to the Senate. The omitted states include Adamawa, Bayelsa, Gombe, Kano, Kebbi, Kogi, Plateau, Lagos, Osun, Yobe, and Zamfara.

According to the Senate President, a supplementary ministerial list will be sent to the parliament in due time.
