PRP Rejects Claims of Kwankwaso Buying 69 Nomination Forms to Seize Party, Dismisses Allegations as Baseless The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has strongly denied allegations that former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, purchased 69 nomination forms to seize control of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. The claims were made by Abdulkadir Musa Giza, who identified himself as chairman of the North-West Stakeholders Forum of the PRP. Giza had alleged that Kwankwaso had taken over the party's structure. However, PRP National Secretary, Alhaji Musa Maigari, described the allegations as false and misleading while speaking to journalists on Monday. “Kwankwaso neither purchased any nomination forms nor has any official connection with the party,” Maigari stated. He emphasised that the party’s internal processes are complete, saying: “As it stands, all positions in PRP have been filled. The police killing of a 17-year-old in a Paris suburb sparked massive protests.

Police shot the teen, identified as Nael M, at point-blank range outside the Paris suburb Nanterre during a stop over an alleged traffic violation. Protesters say the shooting is representative of racial bias and police violence against Black and North African residents.

As protests spread across the country, France deployed over 2,000 officers across Paris, Aubervilliers, Colombes and Suresnes.
