  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Tinubu’s Aide Reacts As Army Chief Orders Troops To Raid IPOB Enclaves

Presidential aide, Bayo Onanuga has commended the Chief of Army Staff, Maj Gen Taoreed Lagbaja for ordering troops to raid areas where the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) enforce sit-at-home orders throughout the South-East states.

It has been reported that the Director of Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu declared that the troops of the 82 Division had been given the order to work with other security agencies to ensure citizens go about their businesses freely.

The army spokesman asserted that the announcement made by the pro-Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa that there will be two weeks of sit-at-home directives was unlawful and would not be condoned.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, Onanuga said the order by Army Chief is a good step in the right direction, adding that Nigeria does not belong to Simon Ekpa.

He wrote: “A good step. Nigeria is not Simon Ekpa Republic.”
