  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Wike, Makinde and I stand with Tinubu, president man of vision’ – Fayose

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has explained why he joined the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State to stand with President Bola Tinubu.

Fayose explained that they took the stand because Tinubu is a man of vision.

He stressed that Tinubu was determined to ensure the betterment of Nigerians.

The former governor spoke after his meeting with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.

According to Fayose: “My name is Ayo Fayose, I came to share moments with the President and Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“I’m happy to be here, one to congratulate the good people of Nigeria to the fact that this is a new beginning, a renewed hope.

“You will see him very alert and very clearly in the direction he wants to take the country, but he can’t do it alone, he needs all of us.

“Whosoever is in this saddle is Nigeria on the saddle [sic] and we must stand by him. We must give our best and I want to tell you that people like me, others like Wike, Governor Makinde and other wonderful Nigerians, we have made up our minds that it is better to stand with a man of vision and to stand with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the betterment of our country. That is why I’m here.”
