 PRESS RELEASE FCT POLICE RESCUE SUSPECT FROM JUNGLE JUSTICE OVER ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION OF 5 YEAR OLD CHILD. …CP FCT Condemns such acts as it delays the course of justice The FCT Police Command, on the 4th of October 2026 at approximately 02:46PM, received a distress call reporting that an unidentified adult male was being assaulted by an angry mob over an alleged attempt to abduct a child. Following receipt of the report, police operatives from Kuje Division were immediately dispatched to the scene, where one Bashir Usman was rescued from an irate mob that was about to lynch him. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was being assaulted by the mob over allegations that he attempted to abduct a five year old child in front of her residence in Angwan Lado, Kuje Area Council of the FCT. 10 JAILED FOR INTERNET FRAUD IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE

10 Jailed for Internet Fraud in Abuja


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abuja Zonal Command, on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, secured the conviction of 10 internet fraudsters before Justice H. Muazu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama Abuja.

The defendants are Dominic Likwa, Wisdom Ndubuisi, Sheidu Abdulqudus, Samson Chukwudi Ohanwe and Mohammed Kamal. Others are Abdulsamad Yusuf, Okoebor Chavis Odianosen, Tochukwu Ezema Trust, Chinedu Chukwuma and Timothy Oluwafemi.

They pleaded guilty to the charges preferred against them.

In view of their pleas, Justice Muazu convicted and sentenced Sheidu, Ohanwe, Kamal, Yusuf, Okoebor and Chinedu to 12 months in prison or a fine of N200, 000 each. Tochukwu and Oluwafemi both bagged 9 months jail term or a fine of N100, 000 each, while Likwa is to spend 9months in jail or pay a fine of N50, 000.

In addition, the convicts are to swear to an affidavit to be of good behaviour.
