In a blog post that has now been published by many international media organisations, in an apparent well-coordinated public relations effort, Binance Chief Executive Officer Richard Teng made false allegations of bribery against unidentified Nigerian government officials who he claimed demanded $150m in cryptocurrency payments to resolve the ongoing criminal investigation against the company.  This claim by Binance CEO lacks any iota of substance. It is nothing but a diversionary tactic and an attempted act of blackmail by a company desperate to obfuscate the grievous criminal charges it is facing in Nigeria. A NEW COMMISSIONER OF POLICE ASSUMES DUTY.



Benue State Police Command wishes to inform the General public that CP. Bartholomew Nnamdi Onyeka psc(+) has assumed duty as the Commissioner of police, Benue State Command.


CP. Onyeka who hails from Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, holds a Bachelor of Art (Hon.) degree in public Administration from Punjabi University, Chandigarh, Patiala, India in 1985 and a master of Art degree in Defence Studies from Punjabi University, Partiala, India in 1987.


CP. Onyeka was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on 3rd march, 1990 as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police. The veteran officer has served in various states across the Country in operational, administrative and investigative capacities.Some of the sensitive positions he held include; Commander Operation Smash, Commander Operation Rescue, Commander Operation Festival and Commander Operation fire for fire all in Imo State Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Administration, Abia State Command, Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration, Imo State Command, Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration Zamfara State Command and Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration, Zone 1 Kano State.


He was Promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police on 3rd June, 2021 and posted as CP In-Charge Force Communication, Force Headquarters, Abuja. He last served as Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command from  4th November, 2021 to 2nd August, 2023 before his posting to Benue State.


He is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and Defence Studies Association of India (DSAI).


The dutiful and visionary Police Officer has taken over from CP. Okoro A. Julius and pledged his commitment to protect lives and property in the State.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
