 Chad to abolish entry visas for all Africans from January 2027 Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno announced on Wednesday that Chad will abolish entry visas for all African nationals effective January 1, 2027, in a move aimed at strengthening African integration and facilitating the free movement of people and goods across the continent. “The Chad of Toumaï, cradle of humanity, opens its borders and abolishes entry visas for all Africans from January 1, 2027,” Deby said at the opening of the African Water Forum in N'Djamena, held in partnership with the World Bank, Anadolu Agency reported. The Chadian leader described the decision as a commitment to “African integration and the free movement of goods and people,” adding that Chad seeks to reinforce its position as a crossroads linking West, East, North and Central Africa. CEASE FIRE NOW, WOMBO APPEALS TO ARMS BEARING YOUTHS

The Member House of Representatives, representing Katsina-Ala, Ukum and Logo Federal Constituency, Prince Solomon Wombo has called on all arms bearing Youths in the Constituency to cease fire and  give room for meaningful development.


Speaking yesterday in Zaki Biam during a thank you Visit to Ukum people in Benue State, Wombo pleaded that the litany of destruction of life and properties in the area in recent times is alarming and detrimental to sustainable development stressing that Government will soon unveil a more genuine and inclusive amnesty program that will be panacea to peaceful co-habitation.


Earlier Prince Wombo accompanied by the Assembly Member representing Ukum State Constituency Engr Ezra Nyiyongo revealed  that he came to thank the Sankera intermediate block for the massive support he got in the last presidential and National Assembly Elections in which he defeated the incumbent and son of Ukum.


“I’m here to officially say thank you Ukum people, you gave me clothes to wear when I was naked, I got the highest number of legal votes cast in Ukum when your son was in the same race, this shows that Ukum people are not selfish, and are true democrats,” Wombo stated.


He appreciated  Distinguished Senator Emmanuel Memga Udende and Rt Hon Paul Biam who ensued that the rules of zoning takes dominance since Ukum and Shitile had benefited for 12years


On party internal democracy, Wombo charge party faithfuls to remain calm promising that the grudges experienced in the constitution of appointments and market committees will be addressed as contact with relevant stakeholders is on top gear.


Also speaking, Engr Ezra Nyiyongo, the APC chairman Geoffrey Orban Jam, Elders Richard Orneer, Mike Tyoga and John Jov appreciated Wombo for coming at the right time to appreciate them. They further appeal to Wombo to always seek party structures in Ukum before major decisions are taken towards respecting the sharing formula of Ya na wan Ingban practice amongst the Tiv people.
