Child Custody : Family Members Arrested for Forcefully Taking Underage Children of a Widow

Two women identified as Felicia Nwosu, mother in law to Sharon and Chinenye Nwosu sister in law to the widow has been arrested for forcefully taking the underage children of their late brother's widow in Ndiowu, Orumba North local government area of the state.
The arrest which was carried out was after a complaint was made to the ministry by the widow.
The widow Mrs Sharon Nwosu a native of Enumbom Ndiowu, who was uncontrollably in tears at the office of the women Affairs Commissioner while narrating her ordeal said, her in laws took her two children from here after her husband's dea_th accusing her of k1ll!ng her deceased husband.
Sharon also stated that the issue started after she refused to handover her late husband's laptop and phone to Ifeanyi Nwosu, junior brother to his late husband who demanded to take possession of the said property.
She said she was shocked that such request was made few days after her late husband demise.
She revealed that the in laws asked her to handover the laptop so that the junior brother would be able to take over the contract her late husband who was an architect just secured warning her not to tell anyone.
Sharon also said that she was still dealing with her husband's demise only to find out that her mother has also diẹ́d same day she lost her husband.
The worst of the situation according to the widow was days before they took her children, they consistently told her kids that, she was responsible for their father's death and broke Into her room after her husband's funeral to cart away with all the money sympathizers gave to her.
Responding while helping the widow clean her tears, the Anambra State Women and Social Welfare Commissioner, Hon Ify Obinabo registered her displeasure over the development but assured her of getting her children back from her in laws.
Obinabo therefore called on everyone to always give widows breathing space to mourn their loved ones instead of creating more problems for them.
The alleged culprits were later arrested and brought to the Anambra State Criminal Investigation Department Awka where they were served a letter mandating them to appear before the Honourable Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare on Tuesday with all the parties involved in the case for further investigation
