 Trump administration halts border wall well drilling in New Mexico after ranchers raise water concerns  The Trump administration has ordered contractors building a border wall in New Mexico to stop drilling new wells after ranchers raised concerns that groundwater pumping for construction could worsen drought conditions and threaten their livestock. The move comes as crews work to expand border barriers across four states as part of President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda. The project has received billions in federal funding and has faced criticism from residents, environmental groups and local officials over various impacts. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which oversees construction, has said water is needed for concrete production, road construction and controlling dust. DHQ Refutes Receiving Requests To Topple Government



Defence Headquarters has urged peddlers of falsehood to desist from such or face the law as the Military and other security agencies are on the look out for them.


Reacting to a social media report that the Armed Forces of Nigeria had received requests to effect change of leadership in the country which it termed false and disturbing, DHQ reiterated that the Armed Forces of Nigeria never received nor made such declaration at any time to anyone or any group. 


A statement signed by the Director Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, on the issue, believes the statement came from those who do not wish the nation well and tagged it the wicked imagination of a few who are not happy with the progress and well-being of the country. 


It said, the military is very comfortable with democracy and remains loyal to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, hence is always willing and ready to defend the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.


The statement further urged the citizenry to all join hands to strengthen democracy in the country and fish out those he termed agents of doom.
