 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. ENHANCED SYNERGY: IGP VISITS MINISTRY OF POLICE AFFAIRS, BRIEFS NEW MINISTERS


The Inspector General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, NPM, Ph.D., on Thursday 31st August, 2023, paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Police Affairs today to congratulate and brief the newly appointed Ministers on the internal security situation of the country, emphasizing the need for enhanced synergy in tackling the evolving security challenges facing our nation.

During the visit, the IGP who was accompanied by the members of the Force Management Team, had fruitful discussions with the Honourable Minister, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, and the Minister of State, Hajia Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, addressing critical issues such as the state of national security, ongoing police reforms, and strategies to enhance collaboration between the NPF and the Ministry of Police Affairs.

Recognizing the significance of modernizing the NPF and promoting community-oriented policing programs, the Honourable Minister assured the IGP of the Ministry’s unwavering support towards the implementation of key reforms and initiatives. They acknowledged the pivotal role played by the police in maintaining law and order and pledged their dedication to providing the necessary resources, infrastructure, and training required for the Force to efficiently discharge its duties and protect the lives and property of all Nigerians.

The IGP emphasized that the visit highlights the undeniable need for collaborative efforts for improved security architecture in the nation. He reiterated the importance of creating an enabling environment for officers and urged all stakeholders to support the ongoing reform efforts of the current administration.
