 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. FRSC IMO SACKED ONE OF IT’S OFFICERS FOR JOINING NLC PROTEST. (PHOTO).

The Imo command of the Federal Road Safety Commission has sacked one of its officers for joining members of the Nigerian Labour Congress to protest on Wednesday, August 2, while wearing the special marshals' uniform.


 


Sector Commander of the FRSC in Imo, Evaristus Ebeniro announced the official's sack, adding that he has been de-marshaled and no longer an officer of the corps. 


He revealed that the official who was summoned as a result of inactivity and lack of commitment to duties, absconded and was therefore de-marshaled in absentia in line with the rules of the corps. He was later arrested before his uniform was recovered from him. 


 


Ebeniro said;


 


“The incident prompted the Command to commence investigation to unravel the identity of the protester. 


“It is now confirmed that the protester who happened to be a unionist was once a special marshal. 


“The Command hereby makes it categorically and unequivocally clear that the protester is no longer with the Corps and that he acted alone in that show of shame “

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
