  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting.  I get jealous when someone else has my wife’s attention – 2baba


Iconic musician Innocent Idibia aka 2baba has confessed he literally turns green with envy when someone else gains the attention of his wife, Annie Idibia.


He shared a clip of his wife posing with some ladies and then exchanging warm pleasantries with a white man thereafter.


Possibly, the sight of his wife with the Caucasian in an affectionate embrace aroused in the ‘African Queen’ classic hit maker some form of jealousy which led to him baring his feelings.


With the aid of the voice over, 2baba expressed his insecurity, his desire to shield Annie’s enviable traits from preying men so that she’s not stolen from him.


The voice-over stated: “I get jealous when someone else has your attention. It’s not as if I’m bleeding or insecure, I just don’t want someone else to realise how amazing you are and for them to steal you away from me.


“I just really do not want to lose you to someone else, you mean too much to me for that to happen.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
