 PRESS RELEASE  National Dialogue on Power in Health Sector: FG Sets Up Committee To Resolve Electricity Challenges In Public Healthcare Facilities  The Federal Government has inaugurated an Implementation Committee for National Stakeholders Dialogue on Power in the Health sector, aimed at achieving sustainable electrification of public healthcare facilities. The primary objective of the national dialogue is to amongst others enhance public- private partnerships to ensure a steady electricity supply to public health institutions.  It will also identify alternative and sustainable solutions by exploring renewable energy options, backup power systems and, energy-efficient solutions to enhance power reliability in tertiary and other health facilities across the  country. I will demolish any illegal building in FCT--- Wike declares


The minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has vowed to restore the city’s master plan.

Wike who was in high spirits on Monday, August 21, said President Bola Tinubu expects positive changes in FCT.

He expressed displeasure over what he described as a high level of insecurity in the nation’s capital.

The minister who spoke during a press conference at the FCTA after the swearing-in ceremony at the Presidential Villa, said land allottees who have been given Certificates of Occupancy but failed to develop would also lose their lands to give way to those ready to build.

He said: “If you know you have built where you are not supposed to build, it will go down. It will never be business as usual.”.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
