  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. Kiddwaya’s mother celebrates son’s eviction from BBNaija All-Stars reality show

Susan Waya, the mother of Big Brother Naija ‘All-Stars’ housemate, Kiddwaya, has expressed her excitement after her son’s eviction from the reality show.

It would be recalled that Kiddwaya was evicted on Sunday, August 20, after being one of the least-voted housemates last week.

Kiddwaya’s eviction followed a clash with fellow housemate, Seyi, who had demanded an apology from him over a disagreement with another housemate, Doyin.

Expressing her displeasure with Seyi’s behaviour, Kiddwaya’s mother had previously threatened to take legal action against him once he is evicted from the Biggie house.

However, following her son’s eviction, she took to Instagram to express her happiness and gratitude to fans for their support.

She wrote: “After yesterday’s threats, I couldn’t be happier with my son’s sanity intact!

“Thank you all for the overwhelming support. Kidd your crew is waiting for you! Lots of love.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
