  Viola Davis Rejects Target’s Apology Over “Blackface” Halloween Costume Viola Davis has rejected Target’s apology after the retailer pulled a controversial kids’ Halloween costume that critics said evoked racist minstrel and blackface imagery. Target removed the $25 "Kids' Glows Under Blacklight Circus Clown" costume from its Hyde and EEK! Boutique line after backlash over the design’s exaggerated features, which many linked to Jim Crow-era minstrel and blackface tropes. The retailer took down the item and issued an apology, saying they “got this wrong” and acknowledging the deep hurt caused to Black customers and employees. Davis, however, turned down the apology. Meet Nigerian businessman who owns a football club in Portugal


Not everyone will know him but his name will ring a bell in the ears of sports lovers.

Kunle Soname is a Nigerian politician, entrepreneur, sports enthusiast and chairman of Bet9ja, a betting website he founded in 2013.


He is the first Nigerian to acquire a European club C.D. Feirense which he bought in 2015.


Remo Stars Football Club previously known as FC DENDER was founded by Soname in 2004.


The club relocated from Lagos State to the Remo area of Ogun State and is playing in the Nigerian Premier League’s Top Division.


He is the founder of the private Nigerian airline ValueJet.


Soname studied Estate Management at Obafemi Awolowo University where he graduated in 1988.


He ventured into politics in 2003 and was elected as the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-isheri Local Council a post he held till 2011.


In 2022, he was inducted as a patron at the University of Lagos for his philanthropic activities.


Soname is married to Kemi Soname and they have a daughter Erioluwa.
