 RE: MISLEADING CLAIMS REGARDING EXTORTION OF MOTORISTS BY LAGOS STATE TASKFORCE – YET-TO-BE-IDENTIFIED SECURITY OPERATIVES: ANOTHER CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY The Lagos State Taskforce wishes to address a misleading narrative circulating on social media, particularly in a viral video shared by protesters and concerned groups who recently demonstrated at the Lagos State House of Assembly. The protest was in response to the alleged extortion of motorists by security operatives, yet to be identified, who are not officials of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit. We categorically state that the Lagos State Taskforce had no involvement in the said incident. My love for Reggae music inspired by Bob Marley’s songs – El-Rufai

The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has shared that his love for Reggae music is due to the songs and music of the late Jamaican legend, Bob Marley.

El-Rufai stated this on his handle on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday morning.

He tweeted, “Bob Marley of the blessed memory is one of most talented musicians of all time. My love for reggae music is connected with his songs and music.”

He also mentioned that one of Marley’s songs, ‘Who The Cap Fit,’ is one of his favourites.

“Who The Cap Fit – Bob Marley & The Wailers is one of my favourites from the 1970s. Enjoy your Sunday with the song and lyrics that are timeless.”

El-Rufai further shared some lyrics of the song which goes thus, “Man to man is so unjust, children. Ya don’t know who to trust. Your worst enemy could be your best friend. And your best friend, your worst enemy.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
