Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply. Nigerian Breweries announces hike in price of beers amid economic challenges

Nigerian Breweries (NB PLC) has announced a price increase on all their products effective August 10, 2023.

In a letter seen by Nairametrics and dated 1st August 2023, the company established the need to review prices due to the soaring rise in input costs and the necessity to cushion its impact.

It partly reads, “This is to inform you that we will review the prices of some of our SKUs effective Thursday 10th August 2023.”

It is reported that the decision to increase prices is attributed to several factors that have bedevilled the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.

This latest development in the beverage market is likely to affect consumer purchasing decision who might be forced to cut back on their beer consumption or seek more affordable alternatives.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
