 Lagos Court Jails NOGASA Chair, Fatuyi Phillips 21 Years  for N43.5m Fraud    Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, November 18, 2024, convicted and sentenced Fatuyi Yemi Philips, Chairman, Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria, NOGASA, to 21 years imprisonment for N43.5m fraud.   The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on April 5, 2022, arraigned Philips alongside his firm, Oceanview Oil and Gas Limited, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N43, 502,000.00   Count one reads: "Fatuyi Yemi Philips and Oceanview Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, on or about the 28th day of September, 2016 at Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, obtained the aggregate sum of N43, 502,000.00 from Elochukwu Okoye and Elebana Unique Ventures Nigeria Limited on behalf of WAPCIL Nigeria Limited under the false rep

OPERATION HADIN KAI: THEATRE COMMANDER  TOURS SECTOR 1 AOR


- Charge Troops on Professionalism


In continuation with his visits to Sectors of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), the Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force North East OPHK, Major General GU Chibuisi on 3 August 2023 embarked on operational and familiarization visit to 7 Division and Sector 1 OPHK Area of Responsibility. 


On arrival, the Theatre Commander was received by the General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 OPHK, Maj Gen PP Malla who took him on guided tour to 24 TF Brigade, FOB Ajiri, 112 TF BN Mafa and the palace of the Shehu of Dikwa, shortly after being briefed at the Sector Headquarters in Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri. 


Equally, on 4th August 2023, the TC visits Headquarters 21 Special Armoured Brigade Bama, as well as units under the command. While in Bama, Maj Gen Chibuisi paid a courtesy visit to the Shehu of Bama where he assured the Monarch of troops' resilience, doggedness and commitment in restoring absolute peace to Bama as well as the entire North East.


On 5th August 2023, the Theatre Commander accompanied by the GOC 7  Division and other senior officers of OPHK visited 28 and 26 Task Force Brigades in Chibok and Gwoza respectively. On arrival, the TC and his team were received by host Field Commanders and briefed on the activities of their Brigades.


While assessing troops' combat readiness and Units operational posture, Maj Gen Chibuisi charged troops to remain professional in their conduct and be committed to neutralize the vestiges of terrorist elements marauding the region. Moreso, the TC applauded troops' resilience and expressed optimism in the attainment of an insurgent free region with all stakeholders actively engaged in the peace building process.
