 Carrick favourite for Man Utd caretaker role Michael Carrick has emerged as favourite to be appointed Manchester United caretaker head coach, according to sources close to the process. Club chiefs are hoping to have an appointment in place for when players return to training on Wednesday. While a final decision is yet to be reached, talks are said to have progressed with the 44-year-old over the position. Carrick previously had a three-game stint as United's temporary boss following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal in 2021. He won two and drew one of those matches but left after Ralf Rangnick's arrival as interim manager. Solskjaer held face-to-face discussions with the club on Saturday about a return. United sacked Ruben Amorim as manager after 14 months in the job on 5 January. I Want To Reunite With Boko Haram Husband – Chibok girl

22Another Chibok girl, Mary Nkeki, 27, has been rescued by troops of Operation Hadin Kai Theatre Command.

Nkeki, who was rescued on Monday last week, said she was married to a repentant Boko Haram terrorist she identified as Adam,
The Chibok girl was rescued by troops of the 81 Task Force Battalion at Dikwa during an operation into the terrorists’ enclave.

The Theater Commander, Operation Hadin Kai, Maj. Gen. Gold Chibuisi, told newsmen, Monday that Nkeki “is number 55 on the list of the abducted Chibok girls.

“While in captivity she was forcefully married to one Adam, a Boko Haram terrorist.
“Since her rescue, she has undergone thorough medical examination in our medical facility. Equally, she has been adequately resuscitated and will be handed over to Borno state,” he said.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
