 BAMIDELE OLUMILUA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNLOGY, IKERE-EKITI RE-A VIRAL VIDEO OF BULLYING OF A FEMALE STUDENT IN BOUESTI It has come to our attention that a disturbing incident involving some  students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has surfaced on social media platforms. A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities. WE'LL CONTINUE TO PRIORITIZE EDUCATION FOR A BETTER SOCIETY - GOVERNOR BALA TELLS NECO


Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has reiterated his administration's commitment to introducing policies that will simply learning and teaching in public schools across the state, saying education remains his top priority. 

He made this known when he received the officials of the National Examination Council (NECO) on a courtesy visit to Bauchi Government House, today. 

Mohammed who commended NECO for the visit and for their support to his administration's commitment to reviving the education, saying he will not hesitate to implement more developmental policies including the establishment of learning centers, construction of additional classroom blocks and special scholarship to hardworking students. 

Earlier speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Professor Ibrahim Wushishi commended the governor for his laudable achievements in education, calling on him to implement and harmonize the junior examination in lines with the Council curriculum. 

He thanked Governor Bala for providing the NECO with office and furniture, saying the visit was to strengthen the synergy and partnership with the state government among others.

 Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
