 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers. WE'LL CONTINUE TO PRIORITIZE EDUCATION FOR A BETTER SOCIETY - GOVERNOR BALA TELLS NECO


Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has reiterated his administration's commitment to introducing policies that will simply learning and teaching in public schools across the state, saying education remains his top priority. 

He made this known when he received the officials of the National Examination Council (NECO) on a courtesy visit to Bauchi Government House, today. 

Mohammed who commended NECO for the visit and for their support to his administration's commitment to reviving the education, saying he will not hesitate to implement more developmental policies including the establishment of learning centers, construction of additional classroom blocks and special scholarship to hardworking students. 

Earlier speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Professor Ibrahim Wushishi commended the governor for his laudable achievements in education, calling on him to implement and harmonize the junior examination in lines with the Council curriculum. 

He thanked Governor Bala for providing the NECO with office and furniture, saying the visit was to strengthen the synergy and partnership with the state government among others.
