ACTDA ARRESTED SOME CHILDREN, GALLIVANTING UNDER THE AROMA FLYOVER. (VIDEO/PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE

ACTDA FLASH

Public Announcement

Yesterday, Tuesday 5th Sept 2023, officials of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) arrested some children who were seen gallivanting under the Aroma Flyover.

It has become an ugly trend at Aroma flyover of recent, where children in their numbers occupy the pedestrian walkways of the popular Aroma flyover, terrorizing the environment, stealing from unsuspecting members of the public and vandalizing Government properties situated within the area.

Findings revealed that some of the children have not been to their homes for the past 15 months as their parents alleged when they came to reclaim them from the authority.

Some of the arrested children are part of a growing syndicate of professional beggars who are recruited by a boss and dropped off every morning at different locations to make money for the same person.

ACTDA hereby issues a final warning to parents and guardians whose children engage in such nefarious activities at the flyover to restrict them or they will be severely dealt with to the full extent of the juvenile law.
