  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. ANAMBRA POLICE WARN AGAINST SHARING OLD VIDEO CLIPS TO INSTIL FEAR AND CREATE PANIC.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE

 *Enemies of the People Sharing Old Video Clips to Instil Fear and Create Panic in Anambra State.*


The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, *CP Aderemi Adeoye,* has described as "enemies of the people"  persons sharing old video clips of burning of a commercial bus at Nanka and killing of soldiers at Umunze both of which happened last year during the dark days of insecurity.


The Commissioner of Police who described the antic of recycling such old video clips as vile propaganda has warned purveyors of false alarm who seek to create fear in the mind of the public that they will be brought to book. 


The Commissioner has tasked the Cybercrime Unit of the Nigeria Police Force to track down those exhuming the old videos to create panic and fear among the populace.


He wishes to re-assure Ndi Anambra that the Police  and sister security agencies will always go the extra mile to secure them against agents of darkness that do not mean well for them or for the Nation.


He called on Ndi Anambra to disregard the videos and not help enemies of progress to share them.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
