 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.  APC Vows To Arrest Anyone If They Protest, Disrupt President Tinubu UN Outing


The APC said Nigerians living in US must be wary of a planned protest ahead of President Tinubu’s visit to the United Nations General Assembly on September 20.


The United States chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that any Nigerian who “disrupts” the visit of President Bola Tinubu with protests “will face arrest and prosecution to the fullest extent of the legal framework.”


The APC said Nigerians living in US must be wary of a planned protest ahead of President Tinubu’s visit to the United Nations General Assembly on September 20.


Tinubu is expected to address the 78th Session of the high-level UNGA General Debate at the UN headquarters in New York.


He will be the fifth African leader to speak on day one of the gathering, according to the list of speakers released by the Office of the General Assembly President.


The President’s proposed visit has however generated mixed feelings with some Nigerians in the Diaspora saying they would resist his coming.


Reacting in a statement issued on Tuesday, the Chairman of the United States chapter of the APC, Prof. Tai Balofin, claimed that a suspended party member, Adesegun Labinjo, was allegedly masterminding the rally.
