 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. Burna Boy is cheap, fake, unoriginal - Brymo 

Nigerian singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, popularly known as Brymo, has described Grammy-winning musician, Burna Boy as “sleazy, cheap, very unoriginal and very fake”.

In a recent interview, Brymo chastised Burna Boy for trying to invent a new Afrobeat style based on the labors of the king of Afrobeat, Fela Kuti.

He also stressed his lack of originality and the fact that he steals tunes by Fela.

He said, “I saw a video where he said he was the Jesus of Afrobeat and he put Davido and Wizkid on some other mountain like that.

"I think he is sleazy, he is cheap, he is a thief, very unoriginal, very fake. Every song is a sample or a stolen slogan. Who does that?.

"Afrobeat is a music style, not a genre. Fela started the genre and it is disrespectful that a new generation of musicians came and just added ‘S’ to create another center of number one.’’
