 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. FG to Enrol Over 10M Out Of School Children 

Federal Government says, its planning to enroll over 10million out-of- school children into schools so as to improve their living standard.

The Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu stated this when he paid a courtesy visit on the Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar in his office at Birnin Kebbi.

He said federal government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was planning to revive the National Commission for Adults and Almajiris Education to make sure out of school children including Almajiris were given quality education with skills acquisition for better society.

The Minister condoled with the people and government of Kebbi State over the death of famous Islamic scholar, Late Sheik Abubakar Giro Argungu, who died recently following a brief illness.

He equally sympathised with TCN and  government of Kebbi state over the fire outbreak which destroyed 90MVA (330KV/132KV) and a 60MVA (132KV/33KV) transformers valued at 4 million US Dollars at TCN substation in Birnin Kebbi 10 days ago.

The Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar, thanked the minister for the visit and congratulated him for his well deserved appointment as Minister by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Deputy Governor, lauded the federal government's initiative  to bring back out of school children and Almajiris  education programme in the country. 

He mentioned the effort he made to introduce Child Destitution Eradication Bill during his tenure in the Senate, which proposed the establishment of the  Almajiri system with Western Education and vocational programme that was later signed into law.
