GOV. SANWO-OLU INAUGURATED A 15-CLASSROOM BLOCK AT OGOMBO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. (PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE

Today, I Inaugurated a 15-classroom block at Ogombo Senior High School, a testament to our commitment to improving education in Lagos.

This initiative by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) will provide access to quality education for over 2,000 students in Ogombo

Education is an important pillar of our T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda. This 15-classroom block is proof of our commitment to raising the bar of academic excellence in Lagos State.

This school project, comprising three floors, was designed in compliance with global standards and our administration’s policy thrust of not leaving anyone behind. It will empower our underserved communities with quality education as it includes state-of-the-art libraries, labs, and ICT facilities.

Over 30% of students in Ogombo used to walk long distances for education. With this school, we're eliminating that hardship and ensuring a brighter future for them.

8 new school projects are awaiting commissioning at Ipaja Junior College, Isale Ilu Majiyagbe in Ipaja; Oriokuta Junior Secondary School in Ikorodu; Thogli Community Grammar School in Badagry; and Ilupeju Junior Grammar School in Oshodi.

We are also equipping our teachers with modern methods and skills for better performance and greater job satisfaction. This, we are undertaking under the EKO EXCEL programme. All these will go a long way in preparing our children for a future driven by knowledge and innovation, and help to actualise the vision of a Greater Lagos

Modern infrastructure, better facilities, and skilled teachers – we're transforming public education in Lagos. With projects like the Ogombo Senior High School, we're paving the way for a Greater Lagos driven by knowledge and innovation. #EducationTransformation #TheFutureOfLagos.
