Governor Soludo Urged To Fix Dilapidated Roads In Ogbaru LGA

Michael Ezenwata

A retired pensioner an indigene of Ochuche in Ogbaru LGA Dr.Stephen Akpati has made a passionate appeal to Governor Chukwuma Soludo to address some dilapidated roads challenges facing the residents in the council area.

In a press statement in Awka Dr.Akpati listed some of the roads to include the dilapidated Atani- Ekwusigo- Ozubulu federal road, the Atani Ogbaru LGA headquarters road to Ossomala, the road before Power Mike station linking the Chicken sales market and beyond etc.

He lamented that the Ossomala bridge has since collapsed and has remained barely manageable through the efforts of users who have crafted a make shift bridge with heavy planks.

Dr.Akpati expects the state government to construct a modern bridge across the Ossomala water way.

On the reckless activities of some government revenue collectors whose actions leave much to be desired especially within the "Ogbo Agbada'' market under the old Niger bridge in Onitsha,he called for their disbandment along the axis to create a breathing space along the gateway to Ogbaru LGA.

On politics, Dr.Akpati said all eyes are on the Supreme Court to right the wrong inflicted by the appeal court.

In a related development, a university don Very Reverend Monsignor Prof.John Paul Nzomiwu noted that only God can reverse the ugly trend.

According to him,he has no hope in the Supreme court reversing the verdict of the appeal court.(Ministry Of Information)
