REPS URGE CBN TO SUSPEND ATM CHARGE HIKE. (PHOTO).

  In a move aimed at protecting the interests of Nigerian citizens, the House of Representatives has passed a resolution calling on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to suspend its recent decision to increase Automated Teller Machine (ATM) transaction charges. The CBN had announced plans to introduce new charges for ATM transactions, effective March 1, 2025. Under the new policy, customers would be charged ₦100 for every ₦20,000 withdrawn from another bank's ATM. However, lawmakers argued that this move would place an undue financial burden on Nigerians. Following a motion of urgent public importance, the House of Representatives urged the CBN to put the policy on hold pending further engagement with relevant committees. The lawmakers stressed the need for the CBN to reconsider its decision and explore alternative solutions that would not negatively impact citizens. ‘I don’t owe anybody an explanation’, Bolanle Ninalowo’s addresses cheating allegation


 Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, has refuted the allegations that his marriage had crashed due to infidelity.


The actor addressed this via his Instagram page on Monday.


 He stated that he does not owe anyone an explanation for any decisions he makes regarding his life.


Ninalowo, also added that the interview, in which he admitted to cheating on his wife, was conducted six years ago.


He wrote," A conqueror does not speak; I own no one any explanation for my life's decision. Bloggers are simply hypocrites in the thirst for clout!!


“Any interview circulating of me are old from 6 years ago, which was before I restored the marriage that has now finally ended.


“Na me they jubilate, na una they worry. God wey help me go help una oooo.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
