 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. Kaduna Governor  flags - off 21.7km Road linking 32 villages.


Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani has performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 21.7 Kilometer Anchau-Gadas-Palla Road in Kubau and Ikara Local Government Areas of the State.


While Speaking at Anchau in Kubau local government, the governor said the  road will connect 32 villages across the two local government areas.


Senator Uba Sani pointed out that, the road when completed would not only facilitate movement of people but also enhance the transportation of agricultural produce from farms to markets, boosting rural development and the local economy.


“The reason we have decided to come this morning for this groundbreaking for the construction of 22 km road is simply because we know the significance of this very road"he said.


He maitained that, the security of lives and property is a top priority of his administration, and pledged to take adequate action against  conflict entrepreneurs.


In a remark Chairman of Kubau local government expressed his gratitude to the State government for selecting their local government as beneficiaries of the projects lineup as part of celebration of the first 100 days of his administration.
